“.Dr. Jasmine Clark has served in Georgia’s Legislature since 2018 after flipping a long-time Republican held seat. Although she has served in the minority, Jasmine has effectively fought back against GOP leadership: She successfully blocked the State School Superintendent from banning AP African-American Studies in schools; she called out Gov. Kemp for falsifying data during COVID, forcing him to correct the record; and, when Republicans attempted to pass an abortion ban using information from a fake medical organization, Dr. Clark discovered their lie and exposed the truth.​

Whether calling out Republicans when they deliberately misrepresent data, organizing members of the Democratic caucus to block the Republicans' most extreme actions, or introducing legislation to create a safer, healthier, more prosperous state for all Georgians, Dr. Jasmine Clark has never shied away from a tough fight. She knows how to stand up to extremists in power and win.
